Is Pageantry a Business?

The chance to perform in a beauty pageant is a dream of many young girls and older women alike. In today's politically correct world, the beauty pageant system has evolved to be much more than simple good looks. It takes true talent, education, and beauty to receive a crown at any beauty contest.

Some fact need to say that

pageant business is a big business, offering up a range of sponsors and participants. Across the globe there are over 35,000 different pageants at the local, state and national level, with even more in the international scene. The contestants number in the three million plus range with over half being teen's. a group of pageant Kings and Queens and models in Nigeria  have come together to say enough is enough for people seeing pageant as a business which is not suppose to be, Rilly?

In their view and contributions, Nelson Ewenrem Mr Nigeria 2018 said The use of contestant to “peddle tickets” which is now a common practice, has grown over the years into a deadly practice as contestants are forced to  go through extreme measures to sell as many tickets as possible or risk not winning the crown even when they are the most qualified. Should be look into, he further emphasized that We believe that the founding fathers of pageants built pageantry on a premise to help and empower young ladies who were beautiful, intelligent and had something positive to offer to the society. Not the other way round.

But a renown's  pageant business mogul Mr Chris Ikoku Also in his contributions stated that Silverbird established MBGN and Mr Nigeria for business so it's so stupid for someone to say pageant is not business he further emphasized that pageant is like every other business out there..But then organisers should not make tickets a pre requisite for winning a crown rather see it as gain of their sweat which attracts a lot of publicity and promotions. Well this are few fact and contributions sticking in let have ur contributions on #PageantNotBusniess campaign kicking hot in Nigeria, send us your suggestions, contributions and view on any of our social media pages.
